Michael Norton Named Vice President of Sales for ToolWatch
Denver-based Tool-Tracking Software Company Adds Experienced Leader to Management Team
DENVER, COLO., April 14, 2009—ToolWatch Corporation, the construction industry's first tool management system provider, named Michael Norton vice president of sales. Norton joins ToolWatch with more than 20 years' experience in sales management, customer service, leadership and business development. ToolWatch's software solutions manage tools, equipment and materials both in the warehouse and on site to organizations of all sizes.
"I was very drawn to ToolWatch as the first company to emerge 18 years ago in the tool-tracking software space when this type of technology was nice to have, versus today when it is a must-have," said Norton. "I look forward to working with the sales team to ensure that every communication with our customers is focused on developing a relationship and offering the best solutions to ensure our customers' success. My philosophy is that selling is something you do with a customer instead of to the customer."
Norton's appointment by Don Kafka, chief executive officer, supports ToolWatch's goal to become a value-added partner with its construction customer base. The company's cornerstone tool management product, Enterprise, uniquely combines smart client deployment, SQL Server Compact Edition and SQL Server 2005 technologies.
"During his career, Michael has demonstrated his leadership abilities and has strong experience building software companies," said Don Kafka. "His ability to merge his personal growth, training and sales experience with a strong technology background will inspire our company and sales force to create a work environment that directly benefits our customers' bottom lines."
Norton most recently worked as president for Ziglar, Inc. where he helped launch an online learning management system that doubled the company's revenue in just two years. He founded and launched Web sites SalesRepOnline.com and CanDoGo.com. Previously, he worked in senior-level roles in sales, consulting and training with companies including Siemens Medical Solutions, WebMD, Digital Reliance and BioTrax International.
