Our founder, Don Kafka, was an electrical contractor who had had enough of losing his tools and equipment to theft, damage, and hoarding. With no off-the-shelf solutions, Don pioneered the development of ToolWatch, the industry’s first tool and equipment tracking software solution.

Over the years, Don and co-founder Denise Shelton expanded ToolWatch from an asset-tracking system to a comprehensive construction operations management platform. The company's goal has always been to empower its customers to run their businesses more efficiently, cost-effectively, and profitably. That's a commitment Don and Denise still honor to this day since the company's inception  30+ years ago.
