Content Marketing Specialist

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide support for the ToolWatch and Safety Reports communications strategies. You will plan, research, create, and govern strategic content to support our marketing plans and business objectives. This position may be remote or hybrid, and the chosen candidate may work from anywhere in the US and hold MT as operating hours as our HQ is located in Denver, CO.

Recently, we acquired Safety Reports, an innovative, cloud-based solution in mobile safety management and compliance solutions. With the addition of Safety Reports, ToolWatch took a significant step forward in providing our users the most efficient, cost effective, and safest construction operations offering in the industry today.

Our Ideal Candidate

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide support for the ToolWatch and Safety Reports communications strategies. You will plan, research, create, and govern strategic content to support our marketing plans and business objectives. This position may be remote or hybrid, and the chosen candidate may work from anywhere in the US and hold MT as operating hours as our HQ is located in Denver, CO.

You must be familiar with business operations, process automation, SaaS solutions and their effectiveness at an enterprise level. The ideal candidate will have track record of success in the following skills: copywriting, content research, planning and development, communicating effectively across all departments, willingness to adapt changes as needed. On a day-to-day basis you will develop and uplift approved content into all communication channels by publishing (we have devs to support complex designs), designing simple graphics (we have designers for the big stuff), and embracing our internal project management systems and processes to efficiently churn out high quality content. Verbal and written communication skills are a must. A passion for technology, the construction industry, and the ability to portray this in your craft is icing on the cake!

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and tactical execution of content marketing initiatives which drive traffic, engagement, and qualified leads to deliver to our sales team.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with subject matter experts on the creation of a variety of content, specifically within the construction operations world.
  • Effectively interview internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Plan, write and edit content marketing and communications materials as assigned, including, but not limited to:
    • social media posts
    • website content/articles
    • blog
    • webinars
    • email communications
    • transactional, informational, and promotional materials
    • surveys
    • brochures
    • case studies
    • white papers
    • use cases
    • guides
    • landing pages
    • newsletter articles
    • advertising
    • other content as needed
  • Manage Podcast efforts. Contact guest candidates, develop content outline with stakeholders, manage the release to our internal and external audiences, and support all related communications. (Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in this area yet!)
  • Conduct research as needed to create content relevant to our target audiences. Understand the ideal customer profiles and topics that are relevant to them.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to establish marketing strategies, meet goals, and manage objectives.
  • For our social media channels, lead the content/creative development process, from ideation to execution.
  • Drive the communication across all company social media platforms and ensure cohesion among each channel.
  • Collaborate in the planning and creation of content related to customer events, webinars, and industry trade shows.
  • Produce high-quality content internally that is relevant to specific business segments including vertical markets, buyer personas, and stages along the customer journey.
  • Accountable for creating, proofing, editing, copywriting, and quality assurance and optimization of offline and online content, marketing campaigns, and brand messaging in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Continually audit and update web and collateral content as product or company information changes.
  • Assist team with digital asset maintenance and management.
  • Coordinate case studies with customers from all solutions we offer.
  • Maintain a database of customer testimonials.

Skillset & Qualifications

  • Education: B.A. or B.S. in Communications/Journalism/Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in B2B content marketing.
  • Platform familiarity: MS Office, WordPress, HubSpot, Google for Work, SEMRush, HeyOrca, Slack, Monday.com, Zoom, Canva, Salesforce, working in the cloud, and more.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and communication skills.
  • Uber detailed and organized.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet related finish lines.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what content audiences want to consume and how to create it.
  • Excited about capturing and integrating the voice of customers into marketing communications.
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, across all departments, including external consultants/agencies.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Excellent ideal team player: humble, hungry, and smart

Job Type: Full-time

Annual Salary Range: $50k - $60k
